I already knew that love comes with stuff
But I didn’t know that stuff comes with love
Until a fire destroyed all of our things.
And I looked to heaven above.
I cried out “Lord, thank you God!
For saving me, my family and friends.”
No one was hurt. No lives were lost.
Lord knows there could have been.
We stood watching in the middle of the night
As flames claimed all of our things
We comforted each other
Under the umbrella of angels wings.
Little did we know at that time
That God was sending us more stuff.
Blessing us abundantly
Supplying more than enough.
Thank you Merced, CA community
Thank you Deborah & Homer, family and friends
For allowing the Lord to use you
In Jesus’ Holy name,
Amen

ABOUT THIS POEM...
Willowbrook Apartment Fire
On the morning of 8/31/2010
Personalized for my Sister in Law, Deborah Greer, and her husband (my Brother in Law) Homer.
Thank you Deborah for getting out of your bed at 3:30 in the morning to rescue us, and to both of you for sharing your home with us while we were without one.
Much Love Always,
God Bless You.
Angels helping angels
Is the purpose of my life
From the trials of being a mother
To the tribulations of being a wife
From the weight of being a daughter
To the honor of being a friend
From the prayers I saw being answered
Through the storms I road to the end
Through the tears I cried going through
So many difficult things
The tears I shared with angels
Who comforted me with their wings.
Many times it was my turn
For the Lord to use me that way
To be the angel in someone else’s life
As He told me what to say.
We are angels helping angels
Giving each other love
It’s a blessing to be a blessing
Sharing God’s unchanging love

Dear God, I have a favor to ask
Because of where I’ve been.
I’ve been without for oh so long
Please give me peace within.
I’ve tried to do the best I can
But I’m beginning to feel some doubt.
Peace within would help me win
Because there is no peace wIthout.
You’ve given me talents I have not used.
The tools are in my hands.
But I am without peace within
And no one understands.
I’m a woman alone in a world you made
Ruled by rich white men.
There’s a message I’d like to give them.
All I need is peace within.
AMEN
Jesus we need you
And we need you bad.
You are the best Friend
That our family’s ever had.
Help us to love
And care for one another;
Let Little Sister
Respect Little Brother.
Let the words from Your bible
Be deep in our heart.
Let us from it,
Never, never depart.
Keep us together
Let your love reign
Not once or twice
But over and over again
When the enemy comes in
And gives us a scare,
Help us to look up
To this Family Prayer

The gates of Heaven are open today
As they welcome my aunt Rita
Angels are singing and playing sweet music
As they all run up to greet her.
She was a good and faithful servant
to the very end
She served a mighty purpose here
with Jesus as her friend
Aunt Rita was a very private woman
who loved her family tree
She took pride in planning our reunions
Making us the best we could be.
She was one of the original sweethearts
From way back in the day
I think every black person in Merced
Came to watch them play.
She was a business woman
She always had am project going
She lit up a room with her smile
without ever knowing.
We shall all miss Theresa Brooks
All of her family and friends
And so we gather today in her honor
In Jesus Name Amen.
My cousin Tommy was a happy soul
He’d always greet me with a hug and a smile.
Our family meant the world to him,
Every man, woman and child.
Tommy loved life and enjoyed it.
He’ll be missed by his sisters and brothers,
His mother, his children, his aunts and uncles
His cousins and so many others.
There was something very special about tommy.
He had a lifestyle of his own.
His mother was always his best friend
No matter where he roamed.
Tommy was so creative and good with his hands,
He was gifted in so many ways.
We all have fond memories and funny stories
Of Tommy Wright and the good ole days.
The Lord needed one more angel
As He prepares for Judgement Day.
One more soldier from His mighty army
That has already paved the way.
She was on the battlefield
And trusted in His Holy name
Her faith did not waiver.
She knew Christ would come back again.
She was a Christian mother and wife,
Daughter, sister, cousin and friend.
She loved the Lord and praised His name.
Right to the very end.
One more angel to hear the children pray
When they lay down to sleep.
One more angel made it home
When she prayed, “my soul to keep.”
Amen
God blessed me with a wonderful life
With hills and valleys that made me a sinner
His grace and mercy and everlasting love
Kept me and made me a winner
He blessed me to become a faithful servant
I will certainly not complain
About my ‘Diamond in the back, Sunroof Top’
Lifestyle and claim to fame
My family and friends were everything to me
They loved me and I loved them back
I lived life from the bottom to the top
When God stepped in and put me on track
I thank The Lord for blessing me
To praise His Holy Name while I had a chance
To lift my hands and say Amen
And to do my Holy Dance
I loved the Lord. He heard my cry
He sent a rainbow to carry me away
To my family and friends
Keep praising the Lord
And you’ll see me again someday
My son, for you I have a Prayer Remember that Jesus is always there.
Know and believe that He really cares My Prayer
Look at this daily on your wall Remember son, you don’t have to fall If on Jesus you will daily call. My Prayer
How this day goes is up to you Remember Jesus is there to see you through So do the work He wants you to.
This is My Prayer
Trust in Jesus and look above Don’t push and never shove Just abide in His Perfect Love For My Son, My Prayer

A mother’s thank you brings tears to your eyes.
It comes straight from the heart.
A mother’s thank you is specialized
Right from the very start.
She loves and she protects
She comforts through the night.
She wipes away the tears
And makes everything all right.
A mother’s thank you is coated with love
And hugs and chocolate kisses.
A mother’s thank you brings happiness
And all of your fondest wishes
